Welcome! I am so excited to be teaching Kenowa Hills High School students for the 14th school year and as a teacher for 16 years overall! Previous to teaching, I received my bachelor's degree from Alma College (Go Scots!) in Accounting and Business Administration and pursued a career as an accountant for several years. I decided to returned to Aquinas to acquire my teaching certificate and Master's degree in education for Business, Accounting and Math to fulfill a lifelong dream! I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to teach business classes at KHHS because they are diverse, reflect to real world topics and truly prepare students for future business related careers!
There are many interesting introductory and advanced courses offered in our Business and Technology department and we strive to update and align them to the ever changing tech business world . My overall goal beyond teaching the content of the course, is to inspire my students to become responsible, ethical adults. I also believe each of my students has the ability to achieve great success in their future career and I hope to facilitate the development of these skills to move them towards this goal .
Sales and Advertising class fulfills a semester VPA credit at KHHS. The coursework includes traditional note-taking, collaborative work, projects, and varied assessments. Most of these activities incorporate technology to best simulate the business world.
